Hello Peirce Saxos.
im here to tell you that on saturday, please FALL IN AT 7.45AM SHARP.
i dont want anyone of you to ask me questions like ohh but my friend say this time fall in. why u say 745? it should be at 730 or 740 fall in. and this will make you and me very confused. guys, please just follow the instructions. if im wrong, which i should NOT be, i will bear full responsibilty okay. anyway, i will post up timings for band prac AND send out smses too. dont listen to what other sections say, their timing may be different from ours as maybe they want to go through some stuff. SO.
saturday, fall in at 745am SHARP
attire is Band Tee Shirt and PE bottom.
and if u dun't have a band tee, please wear yr full pe attire.
i made this very clear. this is also standard for every sat practice.
so there should be no questions regarding attire and timing.
please check for updates. as i will be updating regularly.

heyy saxos,
just want u guys to prac hard on these three pieces:
national anthem
whistle while you work
beauty and the beast.

the national anthem must learn by next week cause we have to play it on 8th aug.
which is if u count arnd 2 to 3 weeks more only.
and thats not alot of time.
sectionals we will try to fix cause we are all not free.
so we have to try and see what we can do.
ok so prac hard.
learn yr NOTES.
then we can look deeper into the piece.
thats all.

and the changes made after i needa play bari, hope u guys know where to play which part and all.
and also do hold yr instruments with 2 hands.
section tee causes 20 dollars..

so do drink lots of water and blah blah blah
keep yrself healthy. thats the main point.
and don't get fever like sanzhi
and don't sprain your 'pinky' like charlene
and don't get gastrics like me((:

so we are playing under the flag and aquarium for the comp
and one impt thing is that we needa be in tune.
in tone( play out)
in time(dun be late, as in in playing)
and do look at the conductor when he is conducting yeah;D

tips for under the flag:

bar 2: hold longer for the end of phrasing. dun stop immediately for breath cause if u do, it will sound cut off. rmb hold longer for every end of phrasing before A.
bar 9: alto sax 1 & 2 melody and harmony
bar 10:alto sax 2 semiquaver thr be on time.

okays so for altos, must be in tune. esp for the D. tend to be sharp.
from 6 bars before A, thrs a cresc. from mf to f. so u gotta plan how to slowly cresc up to forte in A.

rmb to prac yr popstage and reflections
even though u know how to play the whole song
just keep practising.
those parts u think sound horrible or that may not sound correct pls ask yr seniors for help which is US. (you know who lar ahh)

okay lets go into more details ahh:
for reflections:

bar 1: start on the 1n beat. dun come in later, or earlier. look at conductor.
bar 28: charlene and san zhi playing only so look at conductor also dun come in late. the rest join in with pickup at the 2nd bar last quaver. rmb quaver must be long. got draw tenuto sign up thr right?
bar 33: i tink its 33. okay after the pause yepps. got draw eyes right? look at conductor. dun just stare at score or you will laggggg. then look at yr dynamics too.

okay. for the crotchets with tenuto markings, look at conductor also. basically just keep yr eyes on the conductor for the whole piece and it be good too if u memorise. cause i alr did((: k joking..
play louder then what you are playing now but dun play too loud until cover trumpet sound. which is the melody. give way to them.
last line only us and french horn have the same thing. okay we are playing the exact same things as the horns for the whole song so listen out for them too. okayy for last line tempo impt. rmb to count.

okay thats basically all for reflections.

i will update on popstage tmr cause thr are much more things
so tatas~ and do note what u should do for reflections ahh.
